We joined the client’s team, bringing UX expertise to shape the platform’s development. Beyond developing the interface, we reimagined the user experience — enhancing workflows, optimizing usability, and ensuring seamless navigation. As a result, we delivered an intuitive tool that empowers writers to craft complex narratives with clarity and control.
To design a product tailored to real user needs, we first identified the platform’s core features — nonlinear storytelling, dynamic character relationships, and geographically adaptable narratives.
Next, we developed two key user personas representing game writers and developers, helping us understand their goals, motivations, and creative workflows within the crime fiction genre.
Using these personas, we mapped detailed customer journeys to uncover friction points and opportunities for improvement.
These insights, combined with client interviews and domain research, shaped a clear and efficient information architecture. The result is a structure that prioritizes usability and seamlessly integrates AI-powered storytelling tools
We conducted a feature prioritization phase to determine which tools would bring the most value to users while keeping development efficient.
During this phase, we identified that character relationship mapping was essential for building intricate crime narratives, so we included it in the scope. Meanwhile, custom locations required significant development time and were deprioritized for future iterations.
Using these insights, we structured the information architecture to support key storytelling elements — ensuring seamless integration of nonlinear plot generation, dynamic character connections, and AI-driven adaptability.
We identified two main personas: a screenwriter or playwright who needs AI tools tailored for crafting captivating storylines, and a game writer or interactive fiction author focused on creating dynamic, immersive crime-solving experiences.
Insights revealed that screenwriters prioritize seamless integration of AI-generated content with their own writing style, while game writers focus on collaborating with multiple professionals and keeping up with the latest AI tools. These findings shaped the platform’s design, ensuring it addresses the unique needs of both personas.

By mapping user flows alongside the architecture, we optimized key processes and built role-specific structures, tailoring the experience for different user types — whether they were crafting intricate mysteries or managing overarching narratives. This approach laid the foundation for an intuitive, AI-driven crime storytelling ecosystem.
The design process started with wireframing, focusing on a clear layout that prioritized user flow and intuitive navigation for optimal usability.
Then we developed the design concept, refining the visual style and structure to align with user needs and platform requirements. In the final UI design phase, we brought the concept to life with detailed visuals and interactive elements, resulting in a polished, user-friendly experience.
During the wireframing stage, we focused on two critical aspects of the platform.
First, we mapped out the Case Tiers Structure, defining how different levels of complexity and interwoven narratives would function. This allowed us to finally visualize how cases would be structured and evolve within the platform.
Second, we determined and outlined the key user inputs required for AI-generated cases. By identifying what information users need to provide — such as crime details, character relationships, and setting parameters — we ensured that AI could generate coherent storylines, which users could then refine and personalize.
This early framework helped us prioritize competitive features while maintaining a seamless, intuitive experience for case creation.
We explored several design concepts, testing both light and dark themes to determine the best visual direction for the platform. Each concept was crafted to enhance the narrative-driven experience, ensuring the interface supported storytelling elements while remaining intuitive.
Initially, we designed the visual direction without having the client’s branding and once the first user flows were complete, the client provided a finalized brand identity. We then revised the visual layout to fully align with the new branding.
After evaluating both options, the client selected the dark theme, which strengthened the dramatic, immersive atmosphere they aimed for. This choice not only improved focus on the content but also provided a modern, sleek aesthetic that made long sessions more visually comfortable
The user interface design has a modular style. A dark palette creates a mysterious atmosphere, while accent colors draw attention to key data. Sans-serif fonts and a clear text hierarchy ensure readability and smooth navigation.
Usability is optimized with logical navigation, intuitive element placement, and easy access to important data. Features such as search, filtering, and an interactive timeline simplify data management, making the platform both efficient and attractive.
To bring daily interactive crime stories to life, Wolf Games built a tightly integrated AI system that drives both narrative generation and cinematic experience. The platform blends multiple AI technologies to deliver rich, nonlinear crime cases with emotional depth, visual realism, and scalable production capabilities.
At the heart of the narrative engine is Gemini 2.5, enabling structured case generation in seconds. Combined with Gemini 2.5 Pro for few-shot learning, the system produces coherent plots, dynamic character arcs, and geolocation-aware storylines.
A custom Prompt Composer orchestrates complex prompt chains, functional calls, and RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), ensuring content accuracy and continuity over time. To elevate the narrative into a visual experience, Wolf Games adopted Veo 2, Google’s state-of-the-art generative video model.
