WHERE ENTERPRISE WEB DEVELOPMENT STALLS

Three main objections stand between an approved budget and a live site
An enterprise site is rarely bought by one person. Marketing wants it, IT has to approve it, and finance has to justify why the last rebuild didn't last. Each arrives with a different objection. We answer all three below.

We don't have a website. We have fourteen.

We build one component library and one set of design tokens, then run every property off it. Each brand keeps its own identity. Update a button style once, and every site picks it up, instead of briefing ten teams separately. Analytics and tagging follow the same standard, so the numbers reconcile across business units without manual work.

If the migration loses our traffic, that's on me.

Migration is its own workstream, not a launch-week task. We inventory every URL before design starts, so the new architecture is drawn around the pages that earn traffic. We map redirects against live rankings, check templates for content parity, and stage the cutover with rollback.

Our security review has already knocked out three vendors.

We build to clear it. Components meet WCAG 2.2 AA and are tested with a keyboard and screen readers, so the conformance report is straightforward to produce in VPAT format. We separate staging, UAT, and production, set up CI/CD and linting early, and put every merge through an automated review and a senior engineer.

ENTERPRISE WEB DEVELOPMENT BY INDUSTRY

Industry rules decide the architecture long before anyone opens Figma
Every sector adds one: a regulator, a certification body, a catalog of ten thousand parts, or two audiences that cannot share a path. Our corporate website development services team starts from that constraint rather than working around it later.

ENTERPRISE WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT: COST FACTORS TO CONSIDER

What you pay depends on how many properties, how many systems, and how much of it we design
We price corporate website development services by the hours a project takes, and because engineers direct AI agents trained on our repositories and reuse a component library, those hours run below a from-scratch quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions already
answered
01
What is a realistic budget for an enterprise website project?

Our enterprise website projects start at $60,000.That figure buys a full engagement rather than a template refresh: discovery across your business units, a content model, a documented design system, development, migration with a redirect map, and a handover your teams are trained on.

Budget over three years rather than one project. Platform and license fees recur annually. So do security patching, dependency updates, and the occasional platform move. So does the internal time your own teams spend on approvals, content, and UAT, which is usually the largest line nobody writes down. None of it appears in an agency quote.

Where money returns most is early: content modeling and a component library cost more up front and repay on every page after them. What we would not cut is QA, accessibility, and SEO, all three far more expensive to retrofit than to do once.

If the total is more than this year allows, phase it, core pages first. The enterprise website development services USA and European clients buy from us come off one rate card, so location moves the number less than scope does.

02
What is the cost of enterprise web development?

We price by the hours a project takes, in one of three models. Fixed price works when scope is settled: a defined property count, one platform, a known content model. Time and materials suits work that will evolve, where you pay for hours worked and can reprioritize between sprints. A retainer covers what comes after launch: new templates, campaign pages, performance tuning, and content model changes.

Typical ranges by type. A single corporate or group site with standard integrations runs $75,000 to $150,000. Add product and solution hubs, or a legacy migration behind it, and it runs $120,000 to $220,000. A multi-brand portfolio on one component system, or a rollout across several languages and markets, runs $180,000 to $350,000. A partner or customer portal is scoped alongside any of those, from $100,000.

Platform is the largest lever inside every range. Our WordPress enterprise website development agency work runs lighter in hours than a headless architecture with a custom front end, and Webflow Enterprise sits between the two. Hours also run below a from-scratch quote because engineers direct AI agents trained on our repositories and reuse a documented component library.

03
How long does it take to build an enterprise website?

A single corporate site with a clean content model and standard integrations usually runs four to six months from kickoff to launch. A multi-property portfolio on a shared component system, or a site carrying several languages and a legacy migration, runs six to nine months. A headless architecture with a custom front end sits at the longer end, since the content model, the API layer, and the front end each need testing separately.

Three things stretch a schedule more than the design work does. Migration scales with how much content and how many URLs have to move. Multi-language multiplies fields, routing, and QA. And approvals are the largest single variable: a project with four sign-off chains moves slower than one with two, however fast anyone develops.

Two things sit outside that estimate. Procurement and security review often add four to eight weeks before kickoff, so work back from contract signature, not the first design review. And the months after kickoff depend as much on your side as ours: content that arrives late and decisions that wait for a monthly steering call cost more weeks than any development task. We run the migration inventory in parallel with design to buy some of it back.

04
What is enterprise web application development?

An enterprise website communicates. An enterprise web application does work. The test is simple: if someone signs in and changes data, you are looking at an application. A partner area where resellers pull price lists, a customer dashboard showing their own usage, an internal tool that replaces a spreadsheet nobody trusts.

The two carry different requirements, which is why they are usually quoted separately. A marketing site is public and cached, so it lives or dies on performance, search visibility, and editors who can publish without a developer. An application is authenticated and stateful, so it needs identity, permissions, a record of who changed what, and a data model that holds as usage grows. QA is heavier, maintenance is continuous, and the budget often sits with a different team.

Most enterprise projects need both, and they meet at one point: a visitor reads the site, signs in, and crosses into the application. We develop both sides of that line and run one design system across it, so signing in does not feel like arriving at a different company. Isora GRC is the clearest example in our work: a compliance platform we rebuilt with SaltyCloud for information security teams at US research universities.
